Hello All,
The farming season has begun despite the blustery cold winds and snow outside. We have seeds to start, beds to prep and plans to make. This email contains some crucial information regarding the season ahead, including spring Plant Sale dates, a call for Work Shares, farm happenings and where you can buy our produce this summer, please keep reading!
Farm Store and CSA Update
As a reminder, we are not offering a CSA this season but will still be growing vegetables at Nubanusit Neighborhood and Farm. Our Farm Store will be open everyday starting in April and stocked to the brim with our organic vegetables and other local products. It is more important than ever in these times to support your local economy and farmers, so please consider making a trip to our Farm Store a part of your weekly routine this season.
In addition we are offering Farm Store Credit to be purchased anytime. Pay $100 or more up front to use in the Farm Store this season and get 10% additional credit. For example if you put $100 on your account you will get $110 to use in the Farm Store. Farm Store credit can be purchased through our online store by cash, check or card. Purchasing Farm Store credit helps us with season start up costs during a financially low time of year. Email me with any questions!

Work Shares
We are looking for 5-6 work shares this season. Work Shares trade a minimum of 4 hours of farm work weekly for Farm Store credit. Work Shares must commit to a consistent day and time each week (some flexibility for travel etc), be willing to work in varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain and sun and be able to lift 50lbs. Please reach out directly to us if this interests you.
On The Farm We have been busy crop planning, flipping beds to spring greens and taking care of our chickens. With all the snow we have also been shoveling out the sides of our high tunnels to make room for more snow to shed. While its cold and blustery outside, the tunnels hold a hint of spring as we seed spinach and arugula and the daffodils and tulips begin to poke through the soil. We will be starting the first seedlings next week which is always an exciting and hopeful time of year. We are looking forward to a year of change and growth on our farm and can't wait to share it with you all. Please reach out with any questions, we love hearing from you all! |
